I thought it might be a good idea to have a thread in ”Learning Cello” with a listing and/video link to good learning sources. My idea is to create a thread and start it out with some references I have found.

If a reference makes more than one video, just put a link to one of those videos. With the link, include the name of that person. If the person has a website where the videos can be accessed from, use the website link. The individual person seeking help will have a link and name to be able to use to find more from the person in the link.

The idea is to have an index sort of thread. Since only the original poster can edit a post, I might go ahead and post links to the index thread I start by accessing the site from your post and copying and posting the link into the original index thread.

The reason being, if there are comment posts, someone just looking for links to websites and videos for help would have to weed through all the comments. If they want to view the comments, they can scroll down and find it, which they would have had to do anyway, if I had not included it in the index.

If it is a duplicate reference, I will not put the additional link into the index thread.

I hope this makes sense.

This would just be for reference info. I think it would be best to start a different thread for questions and discussions as we currently do. This way, the index will be more useful. Is this okay with you, @Fiddlerman? There have been questions about cello playing. This is really the only forum type site where cello students can find help through questions posted.

Sounds like a great idea, and of course it's ok. I appreciate it.
