I’m new to this forum so don’t know if this has been posted before but I love the Amazing Slow Downer app since I almost always have to slow the speed way down when learning a new tuneviolin-1260. With the Amazing Slow Downer, you can change the speed of the music - from 20% to 200%. You can also change the key (say for viola - @Barry). Available for Windows or Mac. You can play right from a CD but it also slows down MP3, M4P, Wave, Windows Media, and other audio files.

You can download it and try it for free for 30 days – just go to http://www.ronimusic.com. It's very easy to learn and there are some tutorials on the website.

@Fiddlerman - Hope it’s okay to post this kind of stuff – if it’s against the rules just delete and make me walk the plank.dancingsemiquaver-1214

I take it that you're making progress learning and playing by ear.

VickiD....

What a great tool.  I love it.  I am now starting to play along with other music.   I even played the Skye Boat song on the keyboard.. trying to make my own back track.  Just for me because I love it.

I love this concept of the "slow downer"

I am glad you posted that.  I know many will like the whole concept of the "slow downer"  I like the name :)

You're are fine VickieD. No plank for you yet. ;)

Unless of course, it's your app and you are trying to rob us all of the little money that we have... :-(
OMG!!! you are confusing me.
