You may know that I am trial testing a new violin and it is doing something unusual. The violin will not allow me any slop. The notes must be right on.
It sounds great when I manage the right notes but it won't give me an inch.
Sort of like a finicky race horse.
Does this sound possible that the violin has an attitude?

Is that the hand-made violin?
Sounds to me like it is making sure you deserve to own it.
Being able to afford it doesn't automatically give you the right to have it.
This is getting spooky, lol. Have you ever noticed the shop there before, or did it just appear? Like magic!
I am amazed at how old people of my age are.....

Ironically enough, I was just watching one of those ghost shows and they were dealing with haunted objects! .......kinda makes you wonder with how many older violins are in our possession! LOL

I have never owned a violin during the last ten years that wanted the same bow for two or three days in a row.
It does make a difference and it is worthwhile to find a good one for your violin BUT BUT it is hog wash to assume that bows become better in all cases depending on cost.
PS You don't need 7 bows. One will be enough if it well chosen. You can probably meet your day to day requirements with variations in amount of rosin.
