I think the important thing is you are learning to be aware of independent movement in parts of your hand & fingers!
My Arcus bow is EXTREMELY lively. It begs to bounce, so it inadvertently helped me learn to use my fingers, parts of my hand & wrist better by immediate feedback! 🤣 It's all pretty amazing - don't think anything from the wrist to the fingertips is truly passive. Kinda gives new meaning to 'fine motor control' - more like 'SUPER' fine.
Taking a little time to consciously move the wrist, parts of the hand & fingers once in a while - keeps me aware & 'connected'.
There ARE good YT videos available on moving the knuckles, watching for possible tension in specific hand muscles, flexibility in the wrist, and giving purpose to each finger & thumb. Videos may be a moot point for you, but beginners should know to look for these (starting with Fiddlerman tutorials).
There's very helpful info in this thread!
