@ Ferrit.... Your teacher will / should never tell you you're doing bad, that might discourage the student and that would be money out of their pocket. They should have plenty of word's of encouragement for you to maintain a positive attitude.
We were all beginner's at one time and most of us still are, even FM, believe that or not, had to start somewhere, he didn't start with Beethoven. There is a light at the end of the tunnel. Keep practicing everyday and in a short time you will enjoy your own playing, as will other's.
Well, had the lesson and here is what my teacher said.
She said that, for someone that has been playing for less than 6 months, I'm doing extremely well. She also said that the piece that I was working was perhaps a little ambitious at this time but it wouldn't be long before it was right.
We had a talk and I told her that, when it came to my first recorded posting, Twinkle Twinkle, Mary Had a Little Lamb, Camptown Races, and the like just weren't going to happen
After some thought she decided that Lilli Marlene would be a good choice. I agreed as I have always liked it and it would be a chalange as it would be the first piece that I have attempted in C major.
As soon as I have it worked out, I'll post it.
Seen it all. Done it all. Can't remember most of ..... What was I saying????
