I just started my 3 week of playing. And today I noticed something that I've done the whole time, but I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or if its okey to do so. If I play for example D on the A string with my 3rd finger, I usually rest my 1st and 2rd finger on the string. Is that wrong? Should I have some air between the fingers and the string instead?

I would think it's ok if your next two note's are on that same string, otherwise you may get a unwanted note when you take your 3rd finger off that string. It's best just to let your idle finger's hover above the string's without touching them. It's good practice to keep your finger's as close to the string's as possible. Some player's raise their finger's high off the string's, but I find it's best to keep them close for faster playing.
