There was alot about morrison in the lad o berins documentary started on here somewhere. Martin Hayes in his patreon says Taproom/Rolling in the Barrel big session sets in his area of Clare when there.
Very strange video share in post 20. lol. not heard of The Mystery Reel... makes sense...its a mystery.. yuck yuck yuck.
nor paddy the piper, prids orf rathmore or any of the others.

I'll watch it again (been a few years) - some great stuff in that thread I need to re-visit.
I didn't find that video too strange, just funny. I recognized many scenes from the 1927 sci-fi film 'Metropolis' - maybe not so crazy to mix wild frenzied dancing with the driving rhythm of Morrison...
...btw, pretty cool that James Morrison was in his 20's in New York when he won a big Fiddle Competition & a couple years later opened his own music shop in Harlem! So, here was a trad Irish Fiddler right in the center of the Roaring Twenty's music scene!
