ALL bows are unique - no 2 exactly alike.
How much time do you set aside for getting to know each new bow you purchase?
...NO ONE HAS ONLY ONE bow, right? 😉
Ran across this video on the Violin Lounge YT Channel from Vivien Hoffman.
I like that she feels this process of learning Ricochet across 3 strings is a great way for EVERYONE to get to know the properties of your bow better, because all bows DON'T BEHAVE in exactly the same way.
Something worth trying with EACH of your bows?
I notice such a big change in how my bow reacts & sounds when the humidity gets high - bow hair absorbs moisture, even though the CF sticks don't. Running thru this exercise might help me figure out a way to compensate (other than just tightening my bow hair). ...humidity's pretty much under control TODAY!
