Either I am very confused or something is wrong.

So please explain to me how I am confused, at the end of the third bar I read;

D F B [0 2(D String) 1(A string)]

The numbers underneath read;

0 1 4

Surely that is;

D E A

How exactly am I being a stupid head please??

I don't know what HOTMK sheetmusic stands for but 0, 1, 4 for those notes D, F, B would mean that you play it in second position to avoid changing strings.  F with the first finger and B with the fourth in second position. Makes plenty of sense.

aha, I am talking about in the hall of the mountain king and I now understand where the confusion has come from. Thanks Pierre.
