Rather than write a whole new topic, does anyone know of a thread about playing double stops?
Started dabbling with Fiddlermans Amazing Grace, and as luck would have it, today's lesson started on the subject of double stops.
Not too bad, but anywhere higher up the neck using one finger to stop 2 strings is a pain. For example, in first position, a third finger A (on G string) and G (on D string) needs fingers like an elephant foot.

A refreshing change from my fingers being too fat...........

I am amazed at how old people of my age are.....

Nice link Naska, I hadn't yet seen this one.

Pierre, this video is GREAT!

I've been working on double stops for about 4 months, using Josephine Trott's "Melodius Double Stops" book; it is such a pain in my moony-2173[but mine's much less bulbous & shiny], but once you master each lesson, you feel great.

And I really liked Ken's contribution,,, very helpful.
