Well, it happens that I had to make an audio for my son in Boston to hear the new violin but I decided to have no accompaniment so he could hear the violin alone.
This audio will go to Boston tonight.
I'm posting in the sheer joy of playing this (new)instrument. Not because I am so great. If I were a child prodigy, I have long outgrown it.
Rather, my delight is in knowing that some of the members of this forum have this excitement ahead of them. The "perfect" violin. What a day ! May the force be with you

There's always room for Oliver and like your comment about may the force be with you. It is Stars Wars Day today. I can't wait for tomorrow. Not because it will be Cinco de Mayo but the Moon is going to be very big (if ya saw the news - the closest the moon has been to us in many years).
And Oliver when you said, "this audio will go to Boston tonight" I thought of this song:

I didn't know about star wars day either until this morning talking to a friend of mine.

@NV The violin has Tonicas but I'm sure it is the violin supporting the strings. I think the violin really wants synthetics or Helicore (never Dominants)
My gut feel is that this a violin for Obligatos($) which I just might try. I had them before but could not keep them in tune. Otherwise, beautiful.
However, I might have to keep the Tonicas for playing in groups where I need more projection. I'll be testing that with some other musicians pretty soon.
Obligatos were the best string I ever used on anything. (if not the loudest).
Obligato – Obligato strings, of all synthetic-core strings, seem to come the closest to sounding like a gut-core string. (Don't be fooled however--these aren't the synthetic answer to gut--they're is no definitive answer yet!) However, they are more responsive and more brilliant than gut strings. The Obligato gold E string is a very nice string, being less tonally agressive than the Eudoxa Oliv gold E string (although like all gold E strings, it tends to whistle). Good for overly bright instruments.

It's not just me. There is something going wrong with some posts here. I think someone is deleting some posts and accidentally deleting others...
