Hi Folks,

 

Can anyone point me in the direction of some sheet music for an old folk song,, Over The Hills and Far Away?

I have no idea how hard it will be to learn but I love the tune!

I just typed “Over the hills and far away violin” in the google search box and there are a lot of hits. Pretty sure one will be good for you. There are also a couple instructional YouTubes.

@scottishlass as @Mouse wrote there are a number of versions out there. This is one I found in my files. (I can't upload the pdf, so I converted it to a jpg.)

My favorite version is the one played/sung by The Sons of Liberty. This is from The Crooked Road Series 2019. I have cued up this video to the point where they performed Over the Hills and Far Away.
