Whoever you get don't get locked into paying for lessons you haven't taken yet. Around here they want you to buy blocks of lessons which are 8 weeks worth of lessons at $35.00 per half hour lesson so you have to pay $280.00 to start. If you stop they don't give you back the money for the unused lessons. If the teacher says they want you to buy a block tell them you would rather pay for each lesson separately until you decide you and your teacher are a good fit.
Start looking at music stores they can usually help you, if they don't already have a teacher in house.
Keep in mind Fiddlerman does Skype Lessons.

Halfway between Buffalo and Erie?
Hi from J-town, neighbor.
Not that I know any violin/fiddle teachers or etc, but unusual to see someone else from around this particular corner of nowhere. LOL
