I've come across something new to me.  A new piece of music I have for my orchestra has one note of "regular" pizzicato followed by two "snap" pizzicato.  I get what it should SOUND like, but not sure of the best way to do it.  Is it plucked the same way, just harder, or is there a different way?  Thanks! :)

Just grab the string with two fingers and pull it up. I think it is also called Bartok pizzicato. The string should hit the fingerboard. I believe it's used in a Mahler symphony too. Occasionally on modern or contemporary music. Bass players use it from time to time with jazz, etc.

LOL my first thought was of "wolfs" on the violin...facepalm like maybe you need to play the wolfs to scare the birds from the berries?
