I would like to learn this tune but can't find sheet for it. Its called Irish Fire
Any help finding the sheet would be greatly appreciated.
If you can't help with the sheet, could you suggest a starting note and a key.
Thanks folks

No luck. Who's the artist? Sounds to be Bm or E dorian. The melody is pretty simple, it shouldn't be that hard to just noodle something out -- just play notes from the D major scale and you should be able to pick some of it up.

D-Mixolydian=D E F# G A B C D
That means it uses the notes of G major and comes to rest on D.
I listened to the whole melody and played most of it, and I'm pretty sure it has no accidentals, so use just those seven notes. You can use Fiddlerman's G-major fingering chart. I didn't analyze the accompaniment, but I doubt there is anything out of the G-major key signature.
For the melody, start with B on the G string.
"I was at the fair"=B D E F# D
"Who was handsome / as could be"=B D D B / B B A
"Unto me"=B A D
At 1:24: "a mere sixteen"=B D E F# C
C natural is used in at least one other place, and C# isn't used, so it's D-mixo, unless I've missed something in the chords. It has a basically major sound since the third of the scale is a major third.

A good question is one that you want to know the answer to. But maybe someone else wants to know.
Since I've made the key sig to be one sharp, no, it's not an accidental.

Right on John!! I am thrilled you got help. I typed in the lyrics to that song.. and I goggled, Binged, Yahoo-ed. I got nothing. You are lucky to get to be able to figure it out by ear. I am glad you are on your way. I can't wait to hear what you are playing.
