In the sheet music for Swan Lake at measure 17 there is a D sharp downbow, a B upbow and a D upbow played as a tuplet. Since the B and D are both upbow could it also be written as a slur or should there be more of a break between the two notes?
The 19th measure shows only one upbow but I believe it should be written the same way with 2 upbows.
I think I'm confusing myself.

Actually it is all well planned. Normal markings. Measure 18 comes naturally on a down bow and naturally the next note will be up but when I want you to play two up bows in a row. It would be easier for me to demonstrate than explain. If I put a slur than people would not play the two up bows separately. Two stop bows so to speak.
