Welcome to the forum.

If I give criticism it's not cause it is not good it is just to help you improve.

First of all be critical of your intonation. That is what most people notice the most.
Secondly, use a little more bow to produce a better sound. More pressure at times as well.
Thirdly, sing this piece and play it as you would sing it. Phrase the music more. Sections and sentences.

That being said, thanks for a great post. Love having you here. You'll make a great addition.

Thank you for the criticism, that is what I am looking for. I am looking for any advice that will make me a better fiddler violin-student

Being open to criticism is one of the best ways to improve. smile

Some quotable famous person said the best way to learn is from experience and the best way to get experience is to fail.

Unfortunately, some of us have longer learning curves than others! dazed

Hah!  Tell me about it.  I figure as long as I keep trying and keep improving, even if only a little bit at a time, then I am doing OK.

Am sort of late to this post, but Ryan, I saw the video and you definitely got more skill that a lot of us beginners on this site, so keep it up, and I hope you post more videos to help us beginners. This site is wonderful, it really has kept me going, as anytime I have a question about something, or get stuck and start pulling my hair because something is not going the way I wish it would, I get on here, and get great answers.

Welcome and keep it up! (sorry if I did not offer any criticism, as I am just beginning, so all I had to offer were compliments :-))
