So, has anyone here mastered or even bothered to learn how to get some train noises from your fiddle?? last year I had some good steam whistle notes coming out of mine but of course I didnt practice it and have forgotten...Would be fun to have some more to toss in as a tag or intro to wabash cannonball or the wreck of the old 97. any ideas????

You might look at the various videos of "Orange Blossom Special" on YouTube. It's heavily punctuated with train sounds.

Only by accident. Can also do creaking doors, howling cats and nails on a blackboard. All by accident.

Seriously, though, that does sound cool, so please post a video when you get your sound effects nailed down.

When the work's all done and the sun's settin' low,

I pull out my fiddle and I rosin up the bow.
