Boy, are we having a tough time doing double trills. Thomas is finishing the first page of Mozart's Concerto 3 and wouldn't you guess it....there is a double trill using his 2d and 4th finger at the same time trilling. I am practicing it with him but it has been decades since I have done it. Would LOVE to know if anyone has a rip, trick or absolutely any idea how to make this easier to get down, rather than playing it nonstop endlessly.

@JimandThomas -
Wow! Definitely some advanced finger independence!
Joy shows a couple exercises to help (I set the video to start with them).
Violinna talks about Trills in Sixths from Fundamental Trill Studies by Demetrius Constantine Dounis - practicing Double Trills in 6ths (with different fingering) - also mentions 4ths & octaves.
What I picked up: attention to 'lift' - equal energy focus on 'lift' and 'drop' of the fingers.
Best of luck!

Thank YOU!
REALLY appreciate when you bring things up!
I originally wanted to get my little finger under better control so I could try these - by the time I finally did get my pinky more independent, I'd completely forgotten all about Double Trills! 🥴
Btw... I don't see these trills showing up in fiddle tunes, but always thought they'd be great for adding personal touches of harmony.
