Violin Exercises without playing - Quiet practice
These exercises are quiet exercises that you can do, some with the violin and some without, when your friends or family are sleeping, or you are watching TV. Try to take advantage of all your free time to improve your skills.
Work on your vibrato, your trills and finger dexterity, bow finger flexibility as well as strengthening your left hand fingers.

Very good ideas thanks Pierre I need to start doing those exercises while supervising my son with his homeworks! Maybe add to that playing a soft pizziccato? Just to practice the fingering of a song? That sure is quiet anyway.

Great ideas FM, I'm gonna use 'em.

Hey, after this vid, the one of you and Joanna playing Danny Boy popped up; I forgot how entertaining it was!

That vibrato excercise is exactly what i do late at nicht when watch a movie LOL!!! Thanks for "Trill" excercise also. I'll add it. I stuggle for a long time already to hold my fingers close to the strings.. No improvements yet. Somehow when i start to play - they fly up and don't want to go down - legacy from self-teaching without a guide in the past. I'll keep trying. =)

Thank You very much! coffee
