@Fiddlerman Just wanted to make sure there was some feedback here on your youtube videos, Pierre. I have been looking at them weekly and I find even for a newbie like myself, they are quite fun and do-able. I would highly recommend them as an extra practice song for folks.  Good music too! I was playing Hedwig's Theme and my son came into my room and told me "You're a wizard, Harry!"

Yup.  They're great and none of us mentioned it until you.  Thanks!

Thanks guys. The feedback is great to keep me going.

Also, great repertoire suggestions are helpful. I have a long list of suggestions but many are not suitable for the masses and I am therefore hesitant. 🙂

It looks like the movie themes are doing well for you, judging from the view counts 😀 I know I personally have the most fun working on stuff like that when straying from my usual fiddle stuff.

I've been rewatching Cheers and now I want to try and noodle around and see if I can pick out that tune, haha. So I'll throw that one out there 😉

But things off the top of my head that I like (but not sure I could figure out how to play)

Mario Bros theme

Back to the Future

... and now I've had a brain fart, but those two have been on my mind for a while.

Great ideas. Thanks. I put them on the list. My current list is quite long but I may jump around to more logical suggestions depending on how I feel.
Some of the youtube member suggestions are only suitable to a handful of fiddlers. LOL

Also, I love your duet of Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah. Part 2 is a bit hard, but Part 1 is quite do-able. Very cool song!

Other Beatles favourites - Eleanor Rigby, Hey Jude, Michelle, Norwegian wood and so on sound adaptable to violin...  copyright permitting...

Love your tunes of the week- !!  I really believe I will latch on to one to play soon.  I would like to add, "rainbow connection" to your list. I have been trying to play it for the longest time, and can't really figure it out.   🙂

I swear- someday I will be playing as well as my imagination

Eleanor Rigby has that cool little violin riff in it too which is fun to play. The A-B/G-B/F#-B/G-B/E-B riff that separates the ... all come from? (riff) All the lonely people ....

A very classic Beatles walking riff.  .

If we are adding to the list, I would like to add,"In the Mood", "Stardust" and "The High and The Mighty" theme.
Others that I want to learn are :  Venture's "Walk don't Run", theme from "Bridge over River Kwai", Ghost Riders in the Sky", "You'll Never Walk Alone", You've Lost that Lovin Feeling", Bridge Over Troubled Waters", and technically, HHahn's "Mercy".

Thanks for all the suggestions everyone. My list is VERY long but if I keep going for years, there will be a heck of a lot of tunes available to look at including sheet music and demos. 🙂

Another one I'm currently messing around with - "Summer Wine" ( Lee Hazelwood / Nancy Sinatra ) - fun little tune to work with...

I seriously recommend not copying my mistakes. D'oh - guntohead.JPG
