How long have you been playing and how would you describe your level? What have you been working on so far? What are you goals?

Hi prashanth,

I'm very fond of etudes myself, and there are some very simple ones which are also very medodic, up to the challenging ones.

I'm a fan of the Wohlfhart etudes, but they are a little more challenging for me.  Also for simple ones, try violinonline.com.

Of course, I'm assuming you've tried those found in Fiddlerman's listings.

Cheers

Thank you Fiddlerman and Robyn.fnq for the reply, smile

It is simply great to be  as a member of Fiddlerman .BRAVO..clap

I am a classical guitar student and i can play acoustic guitar too

I can play trinity's (examination board )grade 8 pieces on my classical guitar.

But the sound of violin stole my herat.banana

I can play few scales in first position and struggling to go to the next level.

I can spend more than 2hrs for my practice.

I like fiddlerman becuse here i can hear a lot of various styles of violin playing

and i really love the blues lessons it is great...

Whatever music i hear i love to play on my violin that is my GOAL.jimi-hendrix

BUT I LIKE TO LEARN THE VIOLIN ON PROPER WAY.(saddest part is that i am not able to find a good teacher here.)facepalm

so i value all of our experts advices and corrections and suggestions.

i find a lot of very good stuffs  and a circle of violin friends here..dancing

as Robyn told i have checked the above mentioned site but i could not find any friends there..lumpy-2134

but sure useful stuffs are there. (thank you Robyn birthday_balloon).

waiting for your suggestions...

thakns in advance.

I love Etude 22. I guess I would call it intermediate, or maybe advanced beginner.  It's very pretty and so satisfying to play.

Opportunity is often missed because it wears suspenders and looks like hard work.

Ugh, guess I didn't realize there are several different etudes even if they are the same number.  I'm at work so don't have the music with me to tell you which #22 it is.

Sorry, wish I could be of more help.  I only have the one page copied and given to me.  In the corner it says Hoffman, but I haven't been able to find it online or youtube so as to give you an example.  Anyone have any suggestions?

This is my favourite so far:

Wohlfahrt etude no 6 op 45 no 3

Apparently it's supposed to be played fast, though my version is in 4/4 of eighth notes, and of course I can't play it fast.
