Hey Fiddlerman Peeps - Anyone interested in a 2-3 day visit fiddlershop next year?
I know it might be a long way for some but maybe in January 2019 - I believe they are available to get together around Jan 18th - 20th ish?
I looked up plane tickets and it seems a little cheaper to fly early in the week rather than the weekend....but a lot of people have to work during the week, so that might not be fair.
Would anyone be up for it? Meet Mr and Mrs Fiddlerman, visit and support their new location, maybe a little jam session...definitely run around Florida together! Be fun!!!

Funny you ask, I have been toying with going to fiddler shop in January, it's been two years since Felix repaired the neck on my fiddle and was going to have him check it over if he was available also my Bow may need to be rehaired. At the moment all depends on our parents all 4 are have health issues so depending how much time I have to miss work between now and then will determine my ability to go.

Definitely a jam session or just great music in the new studio.
We'll organize some fun stuff and events for those of you who choose to come.
More information to come!!! It's sure to be a blast. Maybe we'll even do some group playing or lessons.... All ideas are welcome.
By all means bring your instruments if you want some free adjustments and advice.

I’d be interested in seeing if I could do it. I have to see what happens with my elbow, if I have surgery on it I won’t be playing for a long time. This darn elbow.
But, it would be fun, fiddlerman roasted coffee, and jam sessions

No plans per se for Florida this year, and when we do it's usually on the nature coast. BUT, will have to keep my eye on this thread and see what happens...

I'm in for sure... but it's a pretty easy call for me since I'm only a 30 minute drive to Fiddlershop.
Right now, Mimi and Pierre have suggested Friday, January 18th to Sunday, January 20th.
Let's see who else chimes in and then set the dates for sure so everyone can get the lowest possible air fares.
I've already invited Mimi and Lorna to sleep at my place but my mom and sister live near by so I can probable muster up a couple of extra beds for that weekend. And, of course, we can have a big, family dinner at my place one night for whoever is interested.
Getting excited about this idea!

We are all slightly obsessed with our fiddles, don't want anyone to miss out, got a few months to plan... Spouses are welcome - even tho mine declined, he's a trooper, been listening to me play for months!
Hopefully this can get around to everyone....because if we have a jam, no one needs to hear my violin stand out...I can empty a room in like 5 seconds (...it takes 3 to get the fiddle out of the case!)

Sounds like fun! It would be close enough for me to get there by car, so I'm flexible as far as date goes :-). However my hubby and two kids would have to tag along, if that would be okay, if I did decide to go (I'm a more than shy person, that's the only draw back)

Lorna is in, we'll both fly in, and we can rent a car if that works, don't want to put you out too much.
I'm sure tag alongs would be fun because then you could double it up as a vaca and run around with the fam!
Fiddlershop is in Pompano Beach FL 33069 - so I think that Fort Lauderdale? is the nearest airport.

Awe, Spring Break time usually means I have the grand kiddos so will be hard to leave...if you do go to that area I'm sure it would be worth a visit to the FS.

Decided it's best to sit this out. Even if I don't have surgery on my elbow, when I can play is hit and miss currently, so it's kind of silly to plan a fiddle centered trip right now.
