Thanks Reverie... It is a good idea to walk away and do something and come back.  I do that sometimes too.

Ginny... Thank you... I feel I have made some progress. Daniel open bowing practice is very useful... Especially if anyone was like me... In the beginning I was too eager to play a song rather than get to know those strings... The angle and location of the bow on the strings is just so very fundamental to good playing.

 I am loving all the feedback and tips.   Now is especially a good time for the violin... "things" make more sense... And tips actually seem to work.... So if anyone is struggling... I am living proof... Keep on playing and learning ... This is all in our grasp and it is so very exciting!!!!!!
