Fiddle Societies/Associations are important in the life of many Fiddlers.
They help keep us connected with local gatherings and are usually responsible for wonderful Festivals - all to promote the enjoyment of playing the fiddle and learning fiddle music.
Great places to swap info about your Fiddles, too!
Bluegrass and OldTime Associations are great places for Fiddlers, also!
Here's a place to find to find some links for the USA - even some in Canada, but some older sites are disabled, maybe find better contact info for those Assoc on Facebook (as much as I hate Facebook):
Fiddle Hangout - List of Associations
The 'Original Michigan Fiddlers Association' doesn't have a very good website, but there is a Calendar, list of Officers & phone numbers, and they do have a Facebook Page.
Seems Michigan is in need of some younger Fiddlers to help with the Association, website and Events!
Here's a list of Michigan 2021 Bluegrass & Fiddle Events from the 'Northern Indiana Bluegrass Assoc.' (check out the Indiana calendar, too)!
'New York State Old Tyme Fiddlers' Association and North America Fiddlers' Hall of Fame & Museum'.
GREAT site for New York - they have 7 Chapters listed in different areas upstate!
Anyone want to promote Fiddle - Related Associations from their area?
Consider joining an Association to help keep Fiddle events alive!

I found a site that also lists Fiddle Camps, Schools & Workshops for Canada and the UK!
I know I started this thread specifically for North America, but festivities seem fewer with Covid, so especially if you live in the Northern States, you might consider a trip into Canada. 😊

Thought worth reviving this thread because @Mouse linked info on the NYSOTFA in Mouse’s Cubby Hole thread (post #697).
It was wonderful to find they have a YT Channel, Leona Chereshnoski - (NYSOTFA), with some great historical recordings of the area! (Thanks, Mouse!)
I checked the 'Fiddle Hangout' link here in the OP - there is still a large list of associations for all over the USA (and some Canadian).
Support these associations - they are a great place to network/find other fiddlers near you, find teachers, workshops & upcoming festivals!
Do an online search to see what's available in YOUR State?
The 2024 Festivals & Fiddle Camps - USA thread is worth checking to follow up on what may be available for this year in different States, too!
