I'd like to be able to make decent recordings of violin playing.  I'm thinking about getting this setup: https://www.audio-technica.com.....eator-pack

Do you think it will sound okay?  If not, which microphones would you recommend?

I think you would be better going with this or for a tad more this .

Id go with a mic that has th traditional xlr type connection that plugs into and is powered by an audio interface if youre set on doing recording.   The other will work..but i think one of the two oltions i showed will wotk better.  You can find those boom desk mics as a stand alone item on sweetwater and on amazon so its not anything special to the website you shared.

kepp in mind there will be some setup involved and software install so if thats something that you cant stand.. you may be disappointed.   If you dont mind spending a bit of time learning basics, its enjoyable to mess around with.
