I think I have finally found the fiddle holder I want to buy when my fiddle is not in its case.

I am also going to get rid of my cool mist humidifier and buy an evaporative humidifier for the winter so I can keep it in the wall case all year.

@MoonShadows and others.  It might be fun to have a mallet on a chain adjacent to that case with the caption “When in stress break glass.”

Sounds like a plan MoonShadows. I like that case too.

Mine stays within arms reach 80% of the time. Even has its own baby bed. Humidifier and dehumidifier keep the place at 50%. I live close to the Mississippi River so its usually humid.

@MoonShadows  I live further North than you do. I went and bout one of those "whole house" evaporative humidifiers this last winter and it worked great. During the driest times it may not keep the humidity at the ideal level but it keeps it far from problematic dryness.

It's kept all of our instruments safe. More importantly, good home humidification reduces the risk of viral transmissions, respiratory irritation, and protects wood structures, furniture, and electronics. I find it a bit amusing that people go through great pains of humidifying their instruments in their homes while neglecting all else.

This allows me to keep my fiddle on the wall. I built my own hanger. It's somewhere on this site.

Do you switch between the two mid-song like Chuck Mangione?

That's a thought. Funny enough I started singing "Feels So Good", in the shop and the young ones have never heard it before. 🤦‍♂️

@Fiddlerman "Feels So Good" would make for a great violin video.

I'm probably not much older than those "young ones" and I know of Chuck and his flugelhorn.

I'd love to be able to keep my violin out all the time. As long as it's safe.

My practice area is next to a northeast-facing window, and I have to make sure the blinds are drawn well at night, as it can get the sun on it early in the morning.

My regular daily walk goes past a big house with half a dozen expensive cars in the drive and in its big downstairs south-facing window there is a very large harp. I doubt the sun is doing that instrument any good!

When I have mine out the only place yo keep it relatively safe is on a small table in front of a west facing window. I have to remember to close the curtain before the afternoon rolls around. That's another reason I want that wall case. It will protect it from the sun...and me!

Good point. I'll add it to my list. :)

I just ordered my violin display and storage cabinet. I decided to go with the walnut cabinet with wood background because I think it will show off the beauty of my Fiddlerman Concert Violin the best.

Hmmm....I wonder how two of these cabinets will look on my wall when I get my Fiddlerman upgrade????????

I really like the case and the violin Jim. I'm going to investigate those cases some more . My humidity is at 60% in my practice room  today. Did you get the tornado warnings last night? Lots of rain here.

Here's the website, Tim: https://www.etsy.com/shop/fwdisplay They have a regular website as well (https://fwdisplay.com/), but the price is more on their website than their Etsy site.

Yes, we had a tornado watch from 2pm to 10pm, but we lucked out with no storms, just some rain. The storms split and passed north and south of us.
