Hello again!

I was having some friendly banter with a classical violinist friend, and she insinuated that Irish music all sounds the same, or at least similar.

 
Obviously she was joking around a bit, and she said "you guys put diddley bits into every tune you play! You get about 4 or 5 real notes, then you twiddle and diddle the rest of them!"
 
I responded by saying "all you classical guys sound the same too. All long bows, serious faces, over-priced violins that cost more than a top Lexus, and you canna play without your music, and of course you need a stand for that too!"
 
She countered with something like "well, just stick to your own tunes, and don’t play ours, cos you’d end up ruining it with all your diddley dee stuff!
 
She was right … I’m so sorry, folks

Hi Mark,

The new violin is really good. It's a Scott Cao Kreisler STV 1500, and I like the rich tone.
