Thomas has had such a great run of luck lately. Not only is he 3d chair in the Philharmonic, but he was chosen to play a "side by side" with the adult professionals of the Bangor Symphony Orchestra. He will be sitting next to the 3d chair in the adult orchestra and it just so happens to be his teacher and conductor. He got his music last night, Pomp and Circumstance. A tough one too. He ALSO was chosen from the orchestra to play for the adult orchestra before their next concert. But that is not even the most exciting part for him. Got an email from the Director of Marketing from the University of Maine at Orono yesterday and they have invited him to play the Star Spangled Banner at the hockey game a week from today. He is MOST thrilled about this one because of his desire to be the best soloist and this is one great opportunity for him to see how it feels like to play in front of at least 1000 people. He and I are loving life.
