Wanted to share this video from David Bennett for some time... but I get sidetracked. (lol)   

Great way to start noticing 'the larger picture' of Music Theory, while learning little bits along the way! 

 

 

Every time I watch this I find I'm understanding something more. 

...thought I mentioned something about Quartal Harmony somewhere - maybe I just meant to. 🙄  

 

Super-Ultra-Hyper-Mega-Meta-Lydian Scale is amazing - constantly modulates at the 5th degree, ascending brighter, but no talk about descending darker.  🤔... can't we look at the Circle of 5ths in this way - if each note around the Circle is a scale, then the next scale starts on the 5th of the previous... or on the 4th if descending counter clockwise(?)

Btw, I definitely prefer the 1/4 comma meantone tuning - over 12TET and Pythagorian!  

...my current fiddling rationality - I'm not in denial. 🤭
