Probably Photoshop.

The land and hills would cast a much longer shadow against a real setting/rising sun.

????????????????????

that photo has been plastered on facebook for at least a year  yell  Its cool, but yeah, photoshop.

The dead giveaway is the treeline in the background that makes up the neck, how could its shadow fall there when the "body & Peg box" shadow falls close. Also, its just too dam perfect..lol

Well, it is a nice bit of art anyway.. But if it was an actual pic of a place one could stand and see that "violin", I wonder if any players would make a pilgrimage there to be playing while seeing it?

WOW,,, how differently it looks to each individual.

I didn't see the landscape, I first saw a violin half submerged in water, LOL, until I read other post's.

I too have seen this picture everywhere and agree that it is manipulated. However, wonder if it's not actually painted or completely digitally constructed by some artist as apposed to a photoshopped photo???
Should be easy enough to find out.

If it were real.. I'd love to pilgrimage to the spot to play inspired by it.  For sure.

I like it regardless.  I like clever things.  And I like all things violin.   :)

Sure, 99.99% chance that it is photoshopped. But so what?  Photography is art, and "accurate unaltered evidence" is only one of the many things it can do. Usually not the prettiest or most interesting, either.  All the models in all the ads, most car pics, and tons of other stuff get "enhanced" a bit with some image manipulation to make a good picture and we never think twice about it.

But as a fantasy, like if you were out camping by a lake and one morning you went out and looked across the lake and saw that?  It would be just such an amazing moment.  Until you pointed it out to someone and they didn't see it or said "I think it looks more like two camels fighting over an ice cream cone" or something.. LOL
