Have I ever mentioned that we are doing the America’s Great Loop starting in the beginning of April 2024?

It's coming up and we are in full force with preparations.

Here is a link to the organization that provides a lot of information about the loop.

http://greatloop.org

We'll be doing this in our Greenline 48 Hybrid Fly boat.

We'll most likely be taking the upper path from the map below through Canada.
Thousand Islands, Trent–Severn Waterway, East side of Michigan, Chicago, Mississippi, around the Gulf of Mexico, Florida West coast, around Key West and then back home to Fort Lauderdale.

If you live along the path, we may be able to visit you. :)

As you're heading down the Wisconsin side of Lake Michigan, if you could drop off a MJZ 907 or 909, that would be great!

Thanks in advance.

@Fiddlerman -

I remember reading where you talked about this plan, meant to ask if you were still going to do it!

I'm between 64 & 65!

HOPE YOU HAVE A GREAT TRIP!

106-Paducah is nice.   they have small arts scene.. even orchestra.  or the quilting museum maybe something to visit.  not sure about boat docking.

107-Grand Rivers just south of Kentucky Dam has a big marina and a kind of old timey tourist area thats nice for a day.  They have some small cabins for rent if needing off the boat for a night.  everything is walkable from marina so convientent.

108-Paris Landing is another good marina next to a state park.  it has a hotel (lodge), and cabins... but its a hike across highway from marina.   not bad if nice weather though.

110-If youre a history buff.. stop at shiloh.  plan a few hours.  not sure about marinas here

Well....... I pitched a tent at the end of the longest pier I could find on Lake Michigan for a week waiting for a nice guy and his wife to show up to bring me a MJZ violin from Florida.

No one came. Maybe Pierre had a hole in his boat? Ran out of gas? Went fishing instead? fish

Maybe next year? laugh
