Seeing its almost Easter I thought I'd relate this strange event that happened to me on Easter Sunday 2006.
I was planning a backpacking trip and the thought occurred to me how nice it would be to have some comfortable sandals to relax in after a long hike, so off I go to Wal-Mart I thought that it being Sunday I wouldn't have to deal with crowds of people.
In I go heading to the shoe department knowing just where the sandals were I turned the corner to be face to face with a little boy sitting in a shopping cart his mother was bent down looking at shoes on a bottom shelf.
As soon as this kid saw me his eyes went wide and a huge grin went from one ear to the other, his head was on a swivel and he kept his eyes on me as I past the cart and headed to the sandals I grabbed a pair in my size and was looking them over when I turned around I noticed this kid still has a grin plastered across his face when I looked straight at him he giggled.
Just before I turned the corner of the isle I heard him scream to him mother "look mommy its Jesus!"
The moral to this story is I didn't know until I got home that it was Easter Sunday and obviously the little boy and his mother had likely just been to church.
