Received an email from the closest violin shop to us. They have retired. A couple have bought it. The new owners have a shop a little further away, also. I really liked the previous owners. I purchased a viola and violin that he made. I hope the cello guy stays with the new owners. I don't know if the luthier and luthier-in-training will remain. The previous owner was also a luthier, well, of course, he made one of my violas and violins. 

The good thing is that the new owners are registered (I think that was the term, maybe certified) appraisers. But, over the few years we have been going there we have built up a nice relationship with the previous owners. We seemed to hit it off. They are just so friendly and helpful. 

Such a bummer.

At least we still have our trustworthy and friendly Fiddlershop! I have to get a cello mute there soon. I think mine went with one of the cellos I donated to the school orchestra, 😂😂. I am waiting until I need strings.
