Hurricane Helene headed toward landfall in FL Big Bend & then on toward me in Central GA.

Anyone in the path--stay safe.

Helene came through the eastern part of South Carolina a couple of hours ago.  We had tornado warnings, but nothing touched down.  We live in the county, but in town, trees are down and folks are without power.  Lots of standing water, but everyone seems OK.

Hope everyone makes it thru okay - appreciate the alert.

We'll be getting some rain & wind from it (anytime now, in Michigan), but it won't be as bad as some we've had earlier this year.

@ABitRusty

Despite the storm entering GA as a Cat 2 & moving fast, it lost a lot of strength by the time it got to my area in Central GA.  There were some scattered power outages/downed tree (not for me), but not what was getting projected.

I lived in FL for a few years (Tampa area) in the early 2000s, & know about the hurricanes—serious stuff.  Not supposed to get to us here in Central GA smile

Glad to hear you all are doing ok—prayers for the folks that have had damage.
