cant say I know much about the inner workings of video cams but Im sure it knocked something loose, Have you checked the basics like battery and SD card to make sure they are in place ?

Yeah mate. Have done all that. Will have a tech look at it.

Got onto eBay and bought a Vivitar HD cam for $25 delivered. I'm sure it will be a really 'class' cam.rofl But it will probably get me by for a week or so.

I had an idea on a recording of Midnight on the Water that I thought may be quite 'novel'. Was going to do it and had an attack of the 'clumsies'

Hope it's something simple to fix and the technician is reasonable. Perhaps the guarantee will cover it? In the meanwhile, congrats on your Ebay Vivitar cam. :-)

Sorry about your camera, but at least you got a replacement.

I found that my IPhone actually has better video quality than my little handheld camera.. of course the Iphone audio is useless.   I just picked up a little XLR Microphone interface/preamp so I can use one of my good microphones with my Iphone... I haven't tried it yet, but well see.

Looking forward to more videos from you when you get your new Vivitar!
