I do not get it. We have a doorbell. It is lit up. It is in plain sight.

Why do people knock on the glass storm door? Not just knock lightly. They knock loudly.  Then you have those who ring the doorbell and immediately follow up with the glass window knock.

In both instances, this morning and just now, the front main door is open. The doorbell ringer could plainly hear my doorbell. No need to rap my glass window. The guy who just rapped the glass storm door window could see that the main door is open, no need to bang bang bang loudly on my window.

Question, if they break the window, who is responsible? Huh? The doorbell is right there. You know that glass breaks. You need stitches from the broken window, I will gladly give you a needle and thread. I might even sterilize it, but you better pay for that door.

I just do not get it. I was brought up to not knock on the door windows.

I think I will make a sign for my storm door window,

Please Do NOT Bang the Window. It is GLASS. It Can Break. PLEASE RING THE DOORBELL, ONLY.  It is a Working Doorbell. You Are Responsible for Any and All Damage or Injury if You Knock on the GLASS. Thank you.

Yep, I just might have to do that. It is really annoying. 90% of the time, people bang the glass window. Why?

Seriously, the doorbell is much easier to hear, and sounds better than the sound of my window breaking. This should not need to be said.

Phew. I feel better.
