I always enjoy meeting fellow forum members in person. A few weeks ago, I asked if anyone wanted to catch up while my wife and I were visiting London. Today, I had the pleasure of meeting Andrew—better known on the forum as "Gordon Shumway."
Since I wasn’t familiar with the area, Andrew suggested one of his favorite spots in Chinatown, amusingly named Chinatown London. 😄
We shared some great food, a couple of beers, and had a fantastic conversation that ranged from music to life in general.
After lunch we grabbed a great coffee at "Sacred Grounds".

Some great shots, I have been in London myself this week, mainly round greenwich, been here for some shows, but on my way back home now, if I had known I would have nipped down to china town, I actually watched wilko the musical there night before last

No I am back in Liverpool now, got the 12.41 from Euston at midd day, I only glance at a lot of rhe stuff on here because there is so much, but I dont recall seeing you were coming over, otherwise I would have gone down there for an hour.
I go down London quite a lot for the shows, not much to do in the north, mind you Liverpool has more Irish bars than Ireland 🙂

Liverpool has a good orchestra, I gather. Is it called the Liverpool philharmonic,? I ought to be more au fait with that kind of thing, like where the Hallé are based and so on, but I never go to see any of them, so I'm clueless.

Dont really know much about the Liverpool orchestra too be honest, I have never really looked into it, I know they have one, but classical isnt top of my music list as you know.

I lost 14 LB already since those photos were taken, and I'm planning to lose at least another 10 LB.
Next time Pierre is in London, I'll take him to the Agra Indian restaurant in Whitfield St.

Oh.
In fact I had grown sick of my complicated electronic scales and had bought a simple mechanical set. It turns out that the mechanical set underweighs by 10Lb (unless the electronic set overweighs by 10Lb). Today I weighed myself on both. The old electronic ones said 82.2 Kg; the new Salters said 77Kg. I am not happy.
