Other than contacting Yarn shops & places that actually sell knitting machines, think you are stuck.
I detest facebook - but we have a neighborhood facebook page and something else that's similar.
I actually found a bunch of potential places to contact (from the Yellow Pages!) when I typed in a search for "Knitting Clubs" in my specific area!
Someone always knows someone... who knows someone - just keep asking.
...you'd be surprised at the helpful people/resources I've learned about from conversations with people who deliver my mail & packages!
Maybe start by contacting places in the nearest large cites - someone will usually know of others in the outskirts.
Don't overlook the possibility that people who raise sheep to sell wool may know of machine knitters in the area - or know of hand-knitters & even spinners who, in turn, may know of machine knitters.
I have found none of this kind of local search is a waste of time - you make new friends with similar interests. 😊

I don't get the Yellow Pages.
Just for the heck of it, I did a general online search for "Knitting Clubs near [name of my township]" - and what popped up was the Yellow Pages listings!
This is promising for near you - at least an email might get you answers. Silver Needles Machine Knitting Club
Or ask here: https://www.machineknit.community/

Can you get your hands on an issue of Machine Knitting Monthly - might be sources to contact?
Knitty Gritty Yarns just re-opened after moving - I'm sure they are hand-knitters, but are close enough to possibly know of someone, who knows of someone...
You can also inquire here to see if anyone knows of classes in your area - or someone who can help you. This school is in NYC: https://www.newschool.edu/pars.....ng-studio/
Wish I could help more - after hand-knitting & crocheting most of my life, I bought a knitting machine back in the 90's, supposedly able to do ribbing & never used it. Had planned to use it for main parts of some sweaters - wanted to use a bunch of beautiful silk yarns I loved, but everyone told me they didn't want to hand wash or dry clean anything!
