Not to get political or that anyone but me cares.
in the US we are very diverse in color and spiritual beliefs. After 9/11 our structure as a nation has changed from the country I learned about in shool for several elections I don't feel that we've had a choice of the best man but the lesser of two evil. With that said I feel that big money buys people in charge and them in charge do what big money says not what's best for the population wants. So with that please understand that we are not all happy with our representation. Most of us are just a squirrel trying to get a nut running on a treadmill

Let us keep politics, nationality, colour out of this very international and very very friendly forum.

I think that the post is fine, its posted in the appropriate forum and isnt inflammatory or negative in its meaning or remarks. I agree with the OP in that the elections dont represent the will, hearts and minds of all americans. He isnt pushing any particular ideology and we should be able to have free speech when and where appropriate.

@ Picklefish... I won't comment on your comment, this could get nasty. Let's keep our freedom of speech in another place, please.

While I am a believer in freedom of speech, I would agree with whose who feel there are better places for discussing US politics than this international and friendly forum.  It will not be of interest to the many members that are not US citizens, and yes, it would likely get nasty.

I love it! I wont get nasty nor would I support anothers nastiness. That being said, I respect that its a bit of a "nerve" for you and would recommend that we all strive to honor each other. That being said, the opinions of the OP are so general and benign that I dont see the issue. Freedom of speech isnt moving your opinion to an area where its already accepted either. I think its great that Fiddlestix stands up for his opinions even when they arent in agreement with mine. Kind of a checks and balances sort of thing. God bless America.  On a side note-

I am going down Friday morning to the health department to register as an indigent so I can get my obamacare insuline and blood pressure medication by the way. My previous job didnt have health insurance and my ex wife and Irs took too much of what I did earn that I couldnt afford it anyways. At least Im still breathing. Now at least riding my bike everywhere across town I should lose enough weight to render my medical issues fixed, weird. I will also get to keep all the money I earn under the table...weird, to succeed in this world I had to become a criminal because hard work wasnt enough. Thats my "off topic" rant.us-4240

I wasn't going to comment but I would like to issue a word of advise to all who wish to discuss politics here. Respect the opinions of others whether you like them or not, and only give your own opinions without attacking anyone else's.

I too fear that it could get nasty and will have to remove the thread if that happens. Trouble is that I don't always see this stuff in time.

Understand fm the last thing I was going for is to start a unfriendly thread I've only been out of the US a few times and that was pre 9/11 . And growing up it seems we have always had a "boogie man" unjustly I feel. My point is we citizens are not all in agreement on all of our leaders or all policy. I'm a independent. More of a constitutionalest and over the years it seems we are getting away from.please don't anyone get hostile. I'm just want to fiddle and thanks for all the help I've learns alot

No worries. It's normal for people to want to discuss politics when they care about our society. I don't know if it is worth having the discussion here though. We already know there would be very heated disagreements. :-(
