Hi all,

i'm a left-handed beginner to violin and i started using the fingering learning tool here.  after a few minutes i realized it was completely backwards for me.   would it be possible for a lefty version to be put up?  or would it be possible to get the script for the existing version that i could modify for lefties and give back to the fiddlerman.com page?

great page, really great chat room!

Welcome iowaplayer,

As much as I like to help out and provide you with all the possible tools to be a better player, I don't think a left handed version would get much traffic.
My guess is that we sell 1 left hand violin for every 1000 right hand violins. Also, not every violinist uses this tool.

Thanks for the idea though. :-)

Have you thought about putting a mirror by the side if your screen and looking at that whilst trying the programme?

I am amazed at how old people of my age are.....

I thought of that too.  But I think he'd also need some way of reversing the mouse actions from left to right.  I think there may be ways of reversing the whole image on the screen or reversing a single window that way.
