Years ago, we were in NYC and watched Wicked. It was wonderful! Since then, I have been curious about the Wizard of Oz book because this had no connection to the movie, really. This Wicked was much better than the rude Dorothy movie version of the Wizard of Oz. Loved loved loved Wicked.

There is a 4 book set based on the Wizard of Oz, very loosely based. I think this book set is what Wicked is based on, not Baum's original Wizard of Oz. Not a children's book set. I have not been this engrossed in a book for years. I am not too far into it, the Kindle version, but I read it every chance I get. I just came in from the deck where I was reading it, a little while ago, It was getting chilly out there.

It is written by Gregory Maguire. The complete Wicked Collection.

The first 1 or 2 chapters turned me off, but after that is was fine. They read quickly, but also framed the life of the people, so they were important.

I just want to mention this book set of 4 books. Maybe I love it because I saw Wicked, I don't know, I don't think so, I just love the way it is written, the dialogue, etc.

I don't have high hopes for the movie Wicked. Based on the few trailers I saw, it seems like it was changed a little. I hope not, 🤞. It is a wonderful play.
