And then, of course, there is Martin O'Donnell for Halo! Video games definitely don't get the recognition they deserve. Halo: Combat Evolved was the first game to get me hooked on modern video games, and its music was excellent.

Hadn't thought of placing film scores & soundtracks here! 🤔

If you hadn't told me this was done by Hans Zimmer, I'm not so sure I would've known - very powerful, though!

I visualize a very long troop march. (lol)

Are you thinking of playing this, or part of it? 🤗

Shoot, think I've stuck Film music all over the forum!  If I hadn't recently started this in Classical, I'd move my recent posts.

@JohnG -

This one's for YOU!  🥰

"Halo Infinite Theme" - Violin/Cello, played by Colm McGuinness.

TUTORIALS

"Halo Main Theme", by Martin O'Donnell (sorry, no tutorials for the 'Infinite' version).

To get you in the mood - from Rob Landes (I just preferred this to Lindsey Stirling). (lol)

VIOLA - play-along sheet music.

Normal AND half speed - nicer sounding than adjusting the play speed setting!

VIOLA - full tutorial.

...never played the games, but enjoyed the anime film versions!

@JohnG -

Except for the first video (the 'Infinite' theme), which has some motifs in common with the 'Main' theme (but NO sheet music) - ALL the rest are the "Halo Main Theme".

The 2 VIOLA video Tutorials are just different ways to learn it.

Sorry, if it seemed like help learning more than one tune.

@ELCBK - Did you notice the affiliation with Fiddlershop at the end of Rob Landes' video?
