I thought I’d start a patriotic party for the coronation in London in May !! Also love a bit of patriotism !! Happy St George’s Day everyone.
Would love you to play anything you like as long as it’s patriotic
Here is my version of Jerusalem by Parry! Sorry about the mistakes !!

@Katie L -
Super Nice!
I totally enjoyed listening!
Thank you!
I didn't realize this is a big holiday - don't know of anyone who celebrates St. George's Day (so I just now read about it)!
This is a really interesting Party idea!
But, it doesn't feel right for me to play an American patriotic tune. Could you tell me more of how YOU are celebrating?
...I thought 'Jerusalem' was a hymn(?)
Wikipedia has a List of British Patriotic Songs
AND, found these tunes suggested for 'St. George's Day':
"There'll Always Be An England"
"The Stately Homes of England"
"In an English Country Garden "( how many flowers...)
"On Ilkley Moor"
"We'll gather lilacs"
"There'll be Bluebirds Over the White Cliffs of Dover"
"Jerusalem"
"I Vow the Thee My Country"
"Rose of England"
Think I'd really like to learn one of these tunes!
I saw the UK Dept for Digital, Culture Media and Sports put out a 'Coronation Celebration Playlist' on Spotify, but I didn't see anything patriotic on it! (lol)

Playing is getting really good now Katie, nice tone, smooth and in tune, really good.
I am looking forward to the coronation of our new King, once in a lifetime event, my missus sister is camping out outside westminster abbey to see it, she lives in London though.
Jerusalem was written about Jesus supposedly visiting England, amd is very patriotic indeed.
Cant beat a sunny day

@Mouse @ELCBK @ABitRusty @Mark Thanks, all!
Violin part from O'Connor Bk2; I made up the viola part.
Internet indictates tune is a traditional British tune dating back to the 17th century. O'Connor book indicates that it might also be related to earlier Scottish airs "Jockey's Lamenation" and "The Wind Has Blawn My Plaid Away".
Also indicates that during the French and Indian War in the U.S., colonial militia would march along with the British regular army to this tune.
