with a metronome maybe set to 6 beats per bar..to get the speed right for yourself...then turn off the clicks in beat 2, 3, 5 & 6. that kinda works for me sometimes... if you set it so there is a click on every beat it becomes more straight i think...also..its always felt more natural playing with a slowed down recording that i like though. youtube works but its locked in to 70 and 50 percent and im usually somewhere in between that plus when its slowed there, it sounds weird to me. i really think playing along with someone or a drum track or metronome helps when learning something new. unless youve internalized the tune already. like, by listening to someone llaying it on recording already. if you can whistle or hum it in time then that really helps. my ramblings...maybe helps...

@ABitRusty -
Hey, you're swing'n it great!
I love it!
Wasn't feeling good yesterday, so I only have the 1st part memorized - into the groove with it (even though it's not a favorite of mine).
I'll see if I can get the rest of it all together over the weekend.
Have to make "Happy Birthday" sound good w/double stops today for Daughter's 40th - really feeling old, now.🙄
...really rather work on getting "Cis Ní Liatháin" down - haven't played it, yet.

Great fiddling, @stringy & @ABitRusty
Interesting background on tune, stringy. I’ll give this a go—might not have it done until the end of the week, but I’ll get it in there.
