This is with the zoom q8 if anyone interested.  I do have a small led video lamp to show what that would be like.  From another post somewhere someone had a question about if they were any good.

Also.. heres the backing I made to play with.  Id suggest you listen to other versions of Cooleys first if youre not familiar to get the correct feel for this tune.  Im still working this one.  Very rough.

Come on FIDDLERS, VIOLISTS and CELLISTS - join in!

I can't play any of my instruments that fast. If I had the sheet music, I might try removing some notes, but I do not have it. I think I would have a better shot with the  Lilting Banshee (?). If that is the actual title of the piece, I might find it. It does not sound as fast as this one. Will check lit both. If the "Party" is pretty much over by then, I will try the next one.

@ABitRusty - LOL!

@Mouse -

Don't worry about fast - these are all played at many speeds - just play how you want.

There are many tutorials on YouTube where they will play it through fast (what they call normal - lol), but then they play it very slowly!

You can go a step further to slow a tutorial down even more - just adjust the speed settings - either way, you'll be able to see exactly where they place their fingers!

I always type in "Fiddle Tutorial" and/or "sheet music" when searching for a tune on YouTube.

Sheet music for many Celtic Folk tunes can be found at The Session.org - just listen to available soundbites to make sure you are looking at the version you want to learn (less confusing now).

Let me know if you have any trouble. 😁

@Mark - Thanx, you're sweet!  Think I've resigned to the fact it'll be a while before I have a "good day" while trying to record a tune. (lol)

I've posted a couple of versions of Lilting Banshee from the Sessions website that Emily mentions above onto that thread:
