@Katie L -
How wonderful, A PARTY!
You played Annie's Song very well!
I'll join you soon! 😊
In the meantime, here's some help to get others started -
a reminder that Fiddlerman did a great tutorial for Annie's Song.
FM A Tune A Week #31 - Annies Song
And, here's a backing track with rolling sheet music for anyone to use (aldrin viray).
Glad you started this Party, Katie!

thanks katie. To be honest it sounds rough as a robbers dog, which is why I am again in the process of finding a teacher. I am never satisfied with anything on violin.
Vibrato is as difficult as everything else on fiddle, once you learn how to do it is then an extremely long process trying to get it balanced.
very hard instrument isnt it? we will all get there in the end, wont be for a lack of trying anyway.;)

@Katie L You’re doing so well! Nice job on Annie’s song—I’ll join your party soon. Congrats in advance on your party badge!
@stringy I think you’re the party animal here! You’re always right on it! Nice work on the vibrato—know what you mean; each finger has a different feel of “balance”.
Characterize people by their actions and you will never be fooled by their words.

thanks emily, fiddlerman, sharon,
Sharon if I get in first before everyone else, I dont look as bad when everyone gets there version in, if everyone else got in before me I would sound terrible in comparison.)
Katie is doing excellently isnt she, well deserves her party badge, obvioualy she has put in a lot of hard work.

Thanks for the comments I still think I sound bad ha ha but I’m determined!! Bad but determined !! Looking forward to seeing others versions of Annie’s Song.
I dont think you sound bad at all, in fact you can plainly hear really nice tone coming through, I also like how straight you keep the bow and your fluid style, this instrument just takes time, keep practicing and keep enjoying.
I like to watch great violinists on you tube, then read about how they used to practice.

Thanks Fiddlerman, Stringy and Mouse! I will have been playing a year on 16/08 !!
Good idea Stringy. It does worry me a bit how I don’t seem to be hearing things I feel like my ears need to wake up maybe now I’ve ditched my mute I will! Just putting it out there… I’m dabbling in vibrato . I’m not in a hurry to learn it and I’m not incorporating it into my music, just doing a few exercises!
