Just finished practising read your post and played this one of the top of my head few bad notes but I only did it the once and put two verses in because it goes on forever in the same vain. Its about the area that I live, this particular place is Salford a he side of manchester, I live directly between there and Liverpool few miles either way,lot of people think its an irish tune, it isnt, it sums up perfectly this area of the North West which still is run down and poverty stricken in the outlying council estates, I was Brought up on one myself, horrible, dirty, crime and violence ridden areas, the only good thing about it was the smoke from the factories obscured the view of the housing lol

@Mouse -
What a FABULOUS idea for a party!
Sure did a beautiful "This Land is Your Land", on ALL 3 instruments!
🤗 You are very talented.
@stringy -
You are playing GREAT!
You made "Dirty Old Town" sound wonderful!
Think you will have no problems reaching your goals.
I will have to do a better job of recording before I join this Party. (lol)

@Mouse Great Party idea! Nice trio playing there--
@stringy Nice playing--you can hear the somberness in it--
@Fiddlerman Beautiful. Always a good tune--America's song.
I think I've got something I can play--gonna go try it now--

Here’s an old time American tune, Florida Blues. It’s often credited to Fiddlin’ Arthur Smith of Tennessee (1898-1971).
