Thanks for taking a look, that tune can be played slow or quick, I prefer slow as it gives a bit of a haunting feel, especially as its in E minor, which isnt usually a key I play in, only heard it on you tube this morning, and I have a bit of time at the moment now, so thought it would make a great party idea so I knocked it out without any embelishments or anything, but I think its ok without any cuts or rolls or tricks. I feel happier now that the big dark is finishing and nights will go lighter, makes me very depressed here in winter, it goes dark about 3.45 in the afternoon, but is now starting to stay light longer. I am away for the first time this year in a couple of weeks as well so that has cheered me up, I am off to Seville, never been there but its supposed to be beautiful;)
Cant beat a sunny day

@stringy -
Nice 'An Dro' - I like it!
Reminds me of some of the Medieval-sounding Welsh tunes & Three-Twos I've shared. The title reminds me of the legends/traditions associated with the Wren this time of year, too.
Sorry, we just got a pretty dusting of snow - I can't get in the mood for Spring until after St. Patrick's Day. (lol)
Thanks for taking time to play a beautiful tune!

alright @stringy...i blame you for this...🫣
spring ..warmer weather..yard work..bbq's. my favorite on the grill is some juicy chicken quarters.. mmmMMM. Good thing those birds dont come back to haunt...🤔
Im pretty sure this tune cant be about poultry.. I believe its French and was recorded by Solas...maybe originally? not 100% I also am pretty sure its normally in Em but did it here in Am I think just because its hard enough for me to make this sound decent and the lower strings sorta helped a bit on it.
Ill call this one Crusty Hens but youll find it played much better titled as Crested Hens
enjoy. 🤣

thank you mark, emily, stringy!
stringy.. intonation..omg. 🤣 i can do better for sure and shouldve. this isnt really a fav of mine ( no excuses ) but i need to play it more, if for nothing else it exercises different muscles ..like the earcept. 🫠 and its on a set list for a spring concert thingy. I was gonna do the Em toss the feathers and come to think of it.. that ..seems even more appropriate now.

I had an amazing visit by a juvenile Cooper's Hawk the other day (sat right outside my window, in the rain!) - so figured it was time to make good on my threat to play "The Buzzard"... since 'buzzards' in the New World, are called 'Hawks'!
Here's my current version recorded on my phone... inspired by an 'Old Blind Dogs' recording (Jonny Hardy) - played on Mortimer (5-string acoustic/EV), along with my new Mini Spark amp.
...not my photo of a 'buzzard' & I was too stunned to think of trying to take one of my visitor!

Thanks for watching!
I'm having fun learning about the different effects my App has to offer - and my new tiny amp can sit right next to me. 🤗

Btw, folks here in the US might be confused about my comparing 'Buzzards' to 'Hawks'.
I used to visualize a 'Vulture', when someone mentioned 'Buzzard' - but then I learned differently...
