@Mark -

Thank you for watching! 😊

Old Blind Dogs came out with a 'reimagined' version about a year ago - much different.

There's notation at thesession.org - but it's not exactly how they originally play it.

@ELCBK Sounding good!  Good for Mortimer to get out & experience the new Spark!  Nice, clear tone--

I’ve been gone a few days--& you’ve been busy in the Party room! I’ve got some catching up to do!

I think this is a Cooper’s hawk?—I get them around my house occasionally.

@SharonC -

Thank you!

Really appreciate you watched!

It bothers me that I still can't loosen up when recording... hope I can change that this year.

Was that photo on your fence?

To be honest, I have a really hard time telling the difference between a juvenile Cooper's Hawk & a juvenile Red Tailed Hawk, we have both in the area & both have more mottled coloring than adults, but the long ticking on the chest made me think Cooper's.  It was pouring rain & Kevin had put screen in front of that window so birds wouldn't fly into it... didn't help visibility.

@ELCBK Yes, he's on my fence.  Here's another one with him in some trees (behind the fence).

@ELCBK - Great work. Isn't it fun to play with effect processors???

@Fiddlerman -

Appreciate you watched!

Yes, it is fun - I even enjoy the ones that make me sound like an electric guitar! 🤭

Btw, the Cooper's Hawk paid me another visit the other day!

🤔... if it got a hold of one of the fat squirrels that constantly raid my 'squirrel proof' bird feeders, it wouldn't need to eat for another month!

Reviving the spring thread with this one, gypsys and tinkers generally start their movements in Spring, and in the lyrics it goes on about the greenwoods, which suggests spring;) so I thought this one would fit in, my own version, I actually saw a Morris dance to this only the other day, dubious link to spring but It always makes me think of this season, even thouh were I live its only just 14 degrees and cold.

@stringy -

Wonderful sounding tune for Spring!

I've heard the Irish Rovers play this tune!  Think it's a great ballad with a storyline similar to "Raggle Taggle Gypsy" (but different tune).  Steeleye Span plays another (completely different) tune with a similar story, "Black Jack Davy" - not as cheerful, though.

A long day for us today - we had the same temperature as you, but at least it was SUNNY!  The Grandkids actually saw an 'Easter' bunny at their house before coming to ours.  Our over-grown yard was full of many types of birds today (all singing very loudly), tulips blooming & Spring wildflowers coming up while the kids hunted for Easter eggs.

Thanks for sharing this!

Thanks greg and Emily,

Emily I am geting tired of waiting for spring here, we normally have bad weather in this region all year round but tHis time its just dragging on and on. I am sat here looking through the window, past the scaffolding on the outside of our house at the torrential rain, very depressing.

@SharonC -

Wow!

I never thought of a 'bog' as such a happy place, but sounds like the frogs are hoppin' around the pitcher plants & muskrats are feelin' like some hanky-panky. (lol)

Really nicely played duet, Sharon - enjoyed listening!

Thanks for perkin' up this Party!
